About

My specialty is rigorous, accessible health journalism that puts people first.

Health information can be hard to sort through on your own—whether you're navigating a new diagnosis or wondering if the latest viral supplement is worth it—and I believe readers deserve coverage that is trustworthy and clear. That's the standard I've held as an editor, whether I'm deciding if a study supports a headline, pushing a story for one more expert, or coaching an editor through a tough draft.

At HEALTH I led day-to-day coverage. That looked like deciding what we covered, building and leading a team of editors, and creating editorial processes that helped my team work better and faster—without sacrificing content integrity. Before HEALTH, I wrote and edited daily news, reported features, and print columns at Women's Health, SELF, Dr. Oz The Good Life, and Prevention.

I'm also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, which means fitness content gets an extra level of care from me. (Yes, I will notice if your form is off.)
